Aquí hay tigresas. Estudio de los personajes femeninos de Stephen King en Carrie, El Resplandor y Bellas durmientes

Abstract

Durante toda su etapa de escritor Stephen King ha concebido una infinidad de personajes para recordar y con los que el lector puede sentirse identificado. Muchos de sus personajes femeninos han sido protagonistas de sus tramas y han tenido gran relevancia en sus novelas, siendo muchas veces el centro de atención del público como es el caso de Dolores en Dolores Claiborne (1992). Sin embargo, el autor norteamericano se ha visto criticado por expertos a causa de sus personajes femeninos mal desarrollados o poco creíbles. En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se ha analizado los personajes más relevantes de tres obras: Carrie, El Resplandor y Bellas durmientes. Por medio de estas novelas se ha investigado cuáles son las características principales de las mujeres creadas por Stephen King y cuál es su principal objetivo al desarrollarlas en aspectos tan específicos.

Stephen King during all his phase as a writer has came up with an infinity of characters to remember and the reader can be identified with them. A lot of her female characters have been the protagonists of their own storylines, being such a relevance in their stories. Dolores Claiborne (1992) is one of the women created by King who has caught the public’s eye. However, the North American author has been critized by the experts because of theses female characters and their bad development. It has been analysed in this thesis the more relevant female characters of three novels: Carrie, The Shining and Sleeping beauties. With these novels, it has been studied what are the main features on these women created by Stephen King what are their primary objective to be developed in those specific aspects.
