Energy saving in terms ... The main objective of this study is to quantify the impact of natural daylight in buildings given its invaluable value in the energy savings of the building. Our goal is decrease the energy used. Energy saving in terms of lighting would result in reducing the amount of artificial lighting and its automatic control. To do this, we will control the lighting levels for a given site, taking into account several key factors that will mainly be related to the weather forecast. This control will be done through the calculation tool ‘Lightning controller for radiant exchange problems’ or RedRad. To validate our calculations we will rely on another calculation tool called ‘DOE-2 Building Energy Use and Cost Analysis Program’ that allows us to analyze and equate the different results. Once we validate our calculation, we can include the control of daylighting to the energy certification carried out by Lider-Calener VyP. |
