dc.description.abstract | Buildings have energy requirements that not only depend on the building's itself, such as construction qualities,
geometry, etc., but are strongly influenced by their closest surroundings, by their climatic conditions. This
project is a technical study of night radiative cooling through the understanding of the sky temperature and its
effect as a fundamental component of radiative cooling.
The first objective of this project is to develop a method in order to characterize the temperature of the sky at
night in Seville, with the aim of studying the potential of renewable water cooling by night radiation for use in
air conditioning. For this, several experiments were designed due to the need to obtain the mentioned sky
temperature.
The second objective is to quantify accuratelly the night radiative exchange of a heatsink, using a prototype
developed as the commercial model would be in future. This prototype allows us to truthfully characterize the
radiative night exchange of an element with the sky. Through the dissipated energy of the water, the temperatures
of the heatsink and the air and the cloudiness in each night, the study of the radiative exchange with the sky i
sable to be further developed. | es |
