Cárdenas Escudero, Manuel Enrique; Fernández Lasheras, Francisco Jesús; Quintero Toscano, Antonio Rafael; Repovš, Dušan (Elsevier, 2007-01)
In this paper, we show that the class of all properly 3-realizable groups is closed under amalgamated free products (and ...

B.-Y. Chen's inequality for submanifolds of generalized space forms

Alegre Rueda, Pablo Sebastián; Carriazo Rubio, Alfonso; Kim, Young Ho; Yoon, Dae Won (Indian National Science Academy, 2007-06)
In this article, we investigate sharp inequalities involving δ-invariants for submanifolds in both generalized complex space forms and generalized Sasakian space forms, with arbitrary codimension.

      Cellular covers of local groups

Flores Díaz, Ramón Jesús; Scherer, Jérôme (Springer, 2018-12)
We prove that, in the category of groups, the composition of a cellularization and a localization functor need not be idempotent. This provides a negative answer to a question of Emmanuel Dror Farjoun.

Critical elements of proper discrete Morse functions

Ayala Gómez, Rafael; Fernández Fernández, Luis Manuel; Vilches Alarcón, José Antonio (Editorial Board of Mathematica Pannonica, 2008)
The aim of this paper is to study the notion of critical element of a proper discrete Morse function defined on non-compact ...

On the connectivity of skeletons of pseudomanifolds with boundary

Ayala Gómez, Rafael; Chávez de Diego, María José; Márquez Pérez, Alberto; Quintero Toscano, Antonio Rafael (Mathematical Institute, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, 2002)
In this note we show that 1-skeletons and 2-skeletons of n-pseudomanifolds with full boundary are (n+ 1)-connected graphs and n-connected 2-complexes, respectively. This generalizes previous results due to Barnette and Woon.

On the functoriality of cohomology of categories

      Muro Jiménez, Fernando (Elsevier, 2006-03)
In this paper we show that the Baues-Wirsching complex used to define cohomology of categories is a 2-functor from a certain ...

On the idempotency of some composite functors

Flores Díaz, Ramón Jesús (Springer, 2012-01)
We present examples of localization functors whose composition with certain cellularization functors is not idempotent, and vice versa.

Cárdenas Escudero, Manuel Enrique; Fernández Lasheras, Francisco Jesús; Quintero Toscano, Antonio Rafael; Repovš, Dušan (European Mathematical Society, 2009)
How different is the universal cover of a given finite 2-complex from a 3-manifold (from the proper homotopy viewpoint)? ...

      Sasaki-Einstein and paraSasaki-Einstein metrics from (κ,μ)-structures

Cappelletti Montano, Beniamino; Carriazo Rubio, Alfonso; Martín Molina, Verónica (Elsevier, 2013-11)
We prove that every contact metric (κ, µ)-space admits a canonical η-Einstein Sasakian or η-Einstein paraSasakian metric. ...

The cellular structure of the classifying spaces of finite groups

Flores Díaz, Ramón Jesús; Foote, Richard M. (Springer, 2011-08)
In this paper we obtain a description of the BZ/p-cellularization (in the sense of Dror-Farjoun) of the classifying spaces of all finite groups, for all primes p.
