Tras el estudio y análisis de un significativo número de obras artísticas de carácter teriomórfico de cada una de las mencionadas culturas, tratamos de reconocer e identificar en sus diseños la fuerza generadora de los diversos arquetipos del inconsciente colectivo que en cada época, momento o situación atravesada por cada una de dichas culturas, han manifestado por medio de la multiplicidad de sus imágenes, la disposición anímica de cada pueblo ante la interpretación de lo desconocido y la forma de organizar y aunar fuerzas y conocimientos para enfrentar el reto de su crecimiento y desarrollo. Desvelamos los arquetipos que encubren los tres ejemplares por excelencia que resaltan en la iconografía artística de Mesoamerica: Serpientes, felinos y aves (quetzal y águila) desentrañando las connotaciones y atributos de la divinidad alojada en cada una de ellas. El hecho de que su función simbólica y trascendente haya quedado reflejada en todas sus obras, nos permite extraer de cada cultura y período los principios y verdades que configuraron sus creencias e impregnaron de sentido sus logros y realizaciones. A través del estudio formal, cromático, rítmico, funcional, el lugar compositivo, y las dimensiones de las imágenes teriomórficas, desglosamos para cada cultura el simbolismo profundo y esencial que subyace tras el aparente contenido estético de las mismas así como las diversas encarnaciones numénicas de dichas formas, descubriéndolas como verdaderas imágenes arquetípicas a través de las cuales se manifiesta o se expresa El Arquetipo. |
