Abstract | El uso del tiempo que tradicionalmente han realizado las mujeres ha contribuido al
mantenimiento de la salud de la población, pues ellas han sido las encargadas de realizar las
tareas de higiene del hogar, la preparación ... El uso del tiempo que tradicionalmente han realizado las mujeres ha contribuido al mantenimiento de la salud de la población, pues ellas han sido las encargadas de realizar las tareas de higiene del hogar, la preparación de alimentos, el cuidado de ropa y abrigo, la atención a niños, niñas, personas discapacitadas y enfermas; estas actividades han sido realizadas no sólo en el propio hogar, sino como ayuda a otros hogares. El mayor estrés sufrido por las mujeres, relacionado con la mayor carga de trabajo que soportan - fruto de sumar a su tradicional rol de género, la incorporación al mercado laboral-, y relacionado también con el número de actividades realizadas y la simultaneidad de las mismas, puede sustentar su percepción de un peor estado de salud. El trabajo que se presenta consiste en un análisis descriptivo de las diferencias por género, tanto en el uso del tiempo como en la percepción de su salud, a partir de la explotación de la información contenida en la ampliación para Andalucía de la Encuesta de Uso del Tiempo realizada por el INE en 2002-2003. |
