Desde que la Administración decide promocionar a los médicos para la gestión de los hospitales las relaciones públicas empresariales cobran importancia en sus programas de calidad. El objetivo de modificar y adaptarse al entorno defendido por Gruning se consigue más fácilmente siguiendo un modelo bidireccional de comunicación persuasiva. Las relaciones públicas excelentes han de ser además directivas y estratégicas, procurando la simetría en las relaciones con los públicos prioritarios y el consenso de intereses. Objetivos: Conocer las UC de hospitales de Murcia, su estructura, estrategia y tácticas. Metodología: Entrevistas cualitativas (enero- junio 2002) con los responsables de CI de los hospitales Virgen de la Arrixaca, Morales Meseguer, Hospital San Carlos, Virgen de la Vega e Ibermutuamur. Análisis material corporativo impreso. Resultados: Se llevan a cabo acciones de RRPP pero, con frecuencia, no parten de la Unidad de Comunicación, que realiza un trabajo técnico con funciones parciales: fundamentalmente la relación con los medios y una publicación para los empleados Conclusiones: La CI aparece ligada al talante del gerente y con escasez de medios. No existe planificación: las instituciones hospitalarias se encuentran en una fase previa a las RRPP excelentes, al seguir aún el modelo de información pública definido por el mismo autor. |
