Abstract | Se estudió la relación que existe entre el nivel de información sobre el cáncer y los hábitos de vida en una muestra de 307 estudiantes de Psicología de la Universidad de Sevilla. Estas variables se midieron a través de ... Se estudió la relación que existe entre el nivel de información sobre el cáncer y los hábitos de vida en una muestra de 307 estudiantes de Psicología de la Universidad de Sevilla. Estas variables se midieron a través de dos cuestionarios elaborados al efecto y administrados colectivamente. Se obtuvo como resultado una relación positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre información y hábitos. Respecto a las otras variables estudiadas (edad, sexo y ciclo académico) cabe destacar los siguientes resultados: ausencia de relación significativa entre edad e información; diferencias en el nivel de información y hábitos de vida entre los distintos ciclos académicos; y, el sexo, no resultó ser una variable relevante ni respecto a la información ni respecto a los hábitos de vida. Por último se evaluó la cantidad de información que sobre la enfermedad carcinógena posee la muestra estudiada. Los resultados se discuten en base al diseño de futuras campañas de salud. The purpose of this study was to analyse the relationship between the information about cancer and life style in a sample of 307 students of Psychology at the University of Seville. These variables were measured through two questionnaires that were collectively administered, results showed a statistically significant relationship between booth variables. With respect to the other variables considered no statistically significant relationships were found between age and information; information and academic course, life styles and academic course, sex and information and sex and life styles. Results are discussed with a view to the future design of intervention programmes. |
