Vivimos en la actualidad un avance imparable de la tecnología. La ley de Moore ilustra el crecimiento exponencial de la potencia de los circuitos integrados, con el consecuente abaratamiento de los dispositivos al mismo tiempo que suben sus prestaciones. Este avance acelerado tiene consecuencias en todos los ámbitos humanos. Con el nacimiento del cine digital, se han multiplicado las posibilidades de los efectos especiales, y su potencial para reproducir la realidad con una verosimilitud cada vez mayor no cesa. El presente trabajo se cuestiona cómo influye esta proliferación de las posibilidades técnicas en el fenómeno cinematográfico, entendido desde todos sus ángulos, tanto a nivel productivo, discursivo, estético, industrial como de consumo y recepción, contrastando posturas de diversos autores para tratar de exponer el estado de la cuestión. |
