Abstract | El artículo propone una aproximación a las relaciones entre la pintura
realista y el cine. La manera en la que estas manifestaciones artísticas han evolucionado
tiene elementos comunes. El cine comercial se encuentra ... El artículo propone una aproximación a las relaciones entre la pintura realista y el cine. La manera en la que estas manifestaciones artísticas han evolucionado tiene elementos comunes. El cine comercial se encuentra actualmente en una situación difícil debido a la influencia abusiva de la imagen electrónica. La solución más importante a esta situación es la de una educación artística, hoy muy lejos de una puesta en práctica coherente por parte de nuestro sistema educativo. El análisis de las relaciones entre pintura y cine aquí presentado se centra en la figura del pintor norteamericano Edward Hopper, cuya influencia en muchos directores de cine se ha mantenido a lo largo del siglo XX hasta la actualidad. Sus personajes ensimismados y melancólicos, sus calles desoladas y silenciosas y sus cafeterías y cines siempre habitados por seres solitarios parecen reflejar las vicisitudes del hombre moderno. |
