Estudio de la logística y sus principales referentes.

Abstract

La logística es uno de los temas de mayor actualidad en nuestros días, ya que conforma uno de los principales focos de innovación e inversión para la investigación dentro de cualquier industria. Hoy en día, con el nivel de comodidades con el que contamos la tarea pendiente es poder conseguir lo que queremos, pero además cuando queramos, es decir, en el menor tiempo posible. Alrededor de esta problemática se han constituido una gran cantidad de empresas a lo largo de la historia, pero hoy en día no es un plus, es una necesidad para poder conservar la satisfacción del cliente. Con todo esto, el objetivo con el que planteamos este trabajo es la búsqueda de los elementos diferenciales dentro de las principales empresas del sector, el por qué de su éxito frente al resto de sus competidores. Para poder explicar todo esto primeramente realizamos un estudio del sector logístico, que no solo implica lo que tradicionalmente se conocía por este concepto, el transporte, sino que también se incluye dentro de él el almacenaje y todo lo que esto supone dentro de una empresa, la gestión de la entrada y salida de bienes, la optimización de todos estos procesos, en conjunto con un transporte mas eficiente es lo que puede conseguir que esta logística sea más rápida y menos costosa. Para ello estudiamos desde las propias bases y principios del sector allá por la antigua Grecia, hasta los tipos de contenedores utilizados para el transporte de grandes volúmenes de mercancías hoy en día. Para ello estudiamos los tipos de transportes dentro de la logística de distribución, profundizando en cada una de sus ventajas e inconvenientes respecto a los demás, así como la propia logística de aprovisionamiento, la de producción e incluso la inversa. A partir de ahí el trabajo estará dividido en cuatro bloques, cada uno representando uno de los medios de transporte de mercancías, que aunque no son el único elemento de la logística si son el más representativo, además de ser alrededor de los cuales se crean las principales empresas referentes del sector. El primero sería el gigante de los transportes, el marítimo, el cual abarca la gran mayoría del volumen mundial de mercancías, aunque tiene sus ventajas y desventajas, siendo estudiadas y ejemplificadas, así como los principales referentes de este medio de transporte a nivel mundial, siendo estudiadas sus claves de éxito frente a los demás. Esto mismo realizamos en los siguientes tres bloques, con el transporte por carretera, aéreo y por ferrocarril, los cuales ocupan posiciones diferentes respecto al transporte marítimo. Gracias a estos, podemos estudiar todos los movimientos que se realizan para que todos los productos lleguen a nuestras tiendas, siendo un proceso complejo, todo esto tras la fabricación y obtención de los materiales, por lo que la construcción de cualquier producto lleva detrás un gran trabajo, siempre soportado por el sector que este estudio nos ocupa. Terminando todo esto con unas conclusiones claras, es decir, con la actitud que estas mismas tienen con respecto al sector, siendo siempre pioneras dentro de todos los aspectos del mismo, buscando innovar y crecer, apostando fuerte por el futuro y asumiendo riesgos que los demás no están dispuestos a tomar.

Logistics is one of the hottest topics nowadays, because it does shapes one of the main spotlights of innovation and investment for search within any industry. Today, with the level of comfort we have achieved the only pending task is to be able to get what we want, but also when we want, which would always be, in the shortest possible time. Around this problem there have been a large number of companies throughout history, but today is not a plus anymore, is a must to preserve customer satisfaction. With all this, the objective with which we propose this study is the research for differential elements within the main companies in the sector, the reason for its success in front of the rest of its competitors. In order to explain all this, we first carried out a study of the logistics sector, which not only does imply what was traditionally known by this concept, transport, but also includes within it the storage and everything it implies within a company, the management of the entry and exit of goods, the optimization of all this processes, together with a more efficient transport is what can make this logistics faster and less expensive. For this we study from the very bases and beginnings of the sectorback in the ancient Greece, to the types of containers used to transport large volumes of godos nowadays. For this we study the types of transport within the logistics of distribution, getting deeper in each of its advantages and disadvantages in comparison to others, as well as the supply logistics itself, the production and even the inverse logistics. From there the work will be divided into four blocks, each representing one of the means of transporting goods, which although they are not the only element of the logistics they are the most representative, besides being the ones which all the main companies are created around. The first would be the transport giant, shipping, which covers the vast majority of world merchant volume, although it has its advantages and disadvantages, being studied and exemplified, as well as the main references of this sector of transport worldwide, being studied their keys to success in comparison to others. We do the same in the following three blocks, with road, air and rail transport, which occupy different positions regarding to maritime transport. Thanks to these, we can study all the movements that are made so that all the products arrive at our stores, being a complex process, all this after the manufacture and obtaining of the materials, so that the construction of any product has a huge amount of background work, always supported by the sector that this study occupies us. Finishing all this with pretty clear conclusions, that is, with the attitude that they have in order to the sector, always being pioneers in all aspects of the same, seeking to innovate and grow, betting heavily on the future and taking risks that others they are not willing to take.
