¿Qué ideas previas tiene el alumnado de 5 años sobre ocho temáticas de carácter científico dentro del Área de Conocimiento del Entorno?

Abstract

Este Trabajo Fin de Grado trata de la realización del diseño, implementación y análisis de un instrumento de detección de ideas previas ¨científicas¨ del alumnado del tercer curso del segundo ciclo de educación infantil (5 años). El instrumento fue implementado en cuatro aulas de Educación Infantil, con un total de 77 niños y niñas participantes. La estrategia metodológica básica de este trabajo ha sido la realización de preguntas y actividades interesantes sobre una parte de los contenidos científicos del currículum oficial de Educación Infantil (8/16 temáticas), Posteriormente, se procedió al análisis de los datos obtenidos, realizando un sistema de categorías para cada contenido. Los resultados muestran que las ideas de los escolares de esta etapa educativa distan del conocimiento escolar deseable en bastantes ámbitos. No obstante, algunos contenidos son ampliamente conocidos por la mayoría. Se muestran las implicaciones educativas de los resultados obtenidos. Pensamos que, este tema es atractivo e interesante, debido a la importancia del conocimiento de dichas ideas previas en el contexto escolar y su consideración por parte del docente en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje.

This Final Degree Project deals with the realization of the design, implementation and analysis of an instrument for the detection of previous "scientific" ideas of the students of the third year of the second cycle of early childhood education (5 years). The instrument was implemented in four classrooms of Early Childhood Education, with a total of 77 participating children. The basic methodological strategy of this work has been the realization of interesting questions and activities on part of the contents of the official curriculum of Early Childhood Education (8/16 subjects). Then, we proceeded to the analysis of the data recollected, making a system of categories for each content. The results show that the ideas of the students of this educational stage are far from the desirable school knowledge in many areas. However, some contents are widely known by most. The educational implications of the results obtained are shown. We think that this topic is attractive and interesting, due to the importance of the knowledge of these previous ideas in the school context and their consideration by the teacher in the teaching and learning process.
