Nowadays, the study of dynamical systems continues having a major importance, because of the great quantity of phenomena that evolves with time that they model. These phenomena come from fields so diverse as Medicine, Physics or Economy. A class of this systems specially interesting are systems with multiple time scales, in which extremely complex phenomena appear. In this work we will consider a study of canard orbits, appearing in dynamical systems with multiple time scales, from the point of view of piecewise linear modeling. We will see that piecewise linear models are able to reproduce classic canard phenomena, reducing the complexity of original models. In addition, we will check the theoretical results of an aerodynamic model of loss of lateral stability of an aircraft turning on the ground, which we know that exhibits the canard phenomenon. |
