This Master Thesis mainly pivots on describing the assembly, preparation and testing of the Decay Total Absorption -ray Spectrometer (DTAS) in the spec troscopy laboratory at IFIC (Valencia, Spain) to ensure its readiness for an exper 100Sn iment on the decay of the proton-rich, exotic nucleus and its neighbours at the Riken Nishina Center (Tokyo, Japan). The testing and preparation of the detector will result in deciding the optimum configuration of the electronic chain, optic-fiber distribution, and module geom etry, among others. The final experimental setup in Japan will be based on the conclusions of this work. |
