de ... En la actualidad, la demanda de agua potable está en constante crecimiento debido al continuo aumento de la población y en relación a esto también al aumento de la industria. Este hecho junto con el de la necesidad de encontrar métodos de producción de energía sostenibles hacen que la desalinización de agua de mar sea cada vez más atractiva y necesaria. La desalinización mediante membrana semipermeable necesita mucha menos energía que la desalinización térmica, esto hace que sea una tecnología más atractiva y económicamente factible y, además, está demostrado que se puede extraer energía de la mezcla de una solución diluida y otra concentrada. Actualmente una de las tecnologías más utilizadas en la desalinización de agua de mar es la ósmosis inversa, que es a día de hoy una tecnología probada y con arraigo en el mercado. No tanto la tecnología de PRO (Pressured Retarded Osmosis) que permite obtener y/o recuperar energía de procesos con gradientes salinos. |
