Posición tridimensional ideal de implantes unitarios en el sector estético

Abstract

Hoy en día, la reposición con implantes es una técnica muy utilizada y aceptada, que presenta un gran porcentaje de éxito. Sin embargo, debido a las cada vez más elevadas expectativas de la sociedad actual y los avances en implantología, el uso de los mismos en el sector estético requiere un protocolo minucioso que garantice no solo el éxito biológico y biomecánico, sino también, una estética óptima. La cantidad de hueso alrededor del implante, va a servir de soporte físico y nutricional del tejido blando periimplantario, siendo la posición intraósea del implante esencial en su conservación y, por tanto, nuestro objeto de estudio. Tras una búsqueda de evidencia científica al respecto a través de las bases de datos Pubmed y Scopus, son seleccionados 20 artículos para estudiar la posición intraósea del implante unitario en sitios estéticos sin déficit de tejidos duros o blandos. Los estudios respecto a la posición mesio-distal eran numerosos y concluyentes. Por el contrario, los resultados sobre la posición vestíbulo-palatina y corono-apical eran más escasos y menos concretos, requiriéndose, por tanto, más estudios al respecto.

Nowadays, the reposition with implants is a very used and accepted technique, which presents a high rate of success. However, due to the increasing expectations of the current society and the advances in implantology, the use of them on the esthetic area requires a minute protocol that guarantee not only the biologic and biomechanical success, but also an optimum aesthetic. The quantity of bone around the implant, is going to serve as phisical and nutritional scaffolding for the periimplant soft tissue, being the intraosseous position of the implant, essential for its preservation and, thus, the aim of our study. After a search of scientific evidence on the topic throughout Pubmed and Scopus databases, 20 articles are selected in order to study the intraosseous position of the single implant in esthetic sites without hard or soft tissue deficiences. The studies with regard to the mesiodistal position were numerous and conclusive. On the contrary, the results about the orofacial and coronoapical position were more scarce and less concrete, therefore, further studies are required.
