Vínculos culturales entre las dos orillas: ciudades y creencias

Abstract

El objetivo de esta comunicación es presentar dos recursos turísticos como piezas

integradoras en la relación entre España y América.

Esos recursos que vamos a abordar imbrican zonas de un lado y otro del Atlántico en

base a la religión y la toponimia.

En relación a la religión podemos hacer una comparativa respecto a la existencia de

vírgenes, más concretamente las distintas advocaciones que son compartidas por los dos

territorios desarrollando las características comunes y divergentes que se dan entre ellas.

Por su parte también analizaremos cómo la homogeneidad toponímica entre poblaciones

de allá y acá puede ser un factor importante de enlace entre ambas culturas que sirve

como motor que impulse las relaciones turísticas entre las dos zonas.

The aim of this paper is to present two tourism resources as integrating pieces of the

relationship between Spain and America.

These resources bring us to both sides of the Atlantic on the basis of place names and

religion.

With regard to religion, we can make a comparison regarding the existence of Virgins,

in particular the various titles and names that are shared by the two territories to develop

common and divergent characteristics that exist between them.

For the second part, we also discuss how the place names’ homogeneity among cities or

towns here and there can be an important link between the two cultures that serves as

the engine that promotes tourism relations between the two areas.
