El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar una breve reseña de la dinámica de poblaciones y sus aplicaciones. Aprovechando las posibilidades de las ecuaciones dinámicas, se aplican a la simulación de poblaciones, tratando de mostrar el potencial de este tipo de modelización en la comprensión de procesos naturales. Para ello se analizan los modelos de Lotka-Volterra y Kermack-McKendrick. Se repasa su evolución histórica y se estudia, a continuación, sus propiedades matemáticas y las posibles variaciones. Para comprender el potencial de estos modelos se introducen situaciones reales en las que son aplicados. |
