El objetivo de este trabajo es profundizar en la relación existente entre Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (RSC) y Rendimiento Financiero (RF) estudiando el posible efecto moderador que la variable país, medida a través de las características culturales, puede tener sobre dicha relación. A partir de las dimensiones culturales identificadas por GLOBE (2004) y Hofstede (1980), clasificamos los países de la muestra, y sobre dichas clasificaciones, realizamos el contraste de hipótesis a través de la técnica estadística del meta-análisis, haciendo hincapié posteriormente en la moderación realizada por la dimensión “igualdad de género”. Los resultados revelan que el país objeto de estudio modera la relación entre RSC y RF, siendo países como Australia, Canadá, EE.UU. y Reino Unido donde se obtienen mayores correlaciones. En el caso, de tener en cuenta, sólo la dimensión referente al género, los resultados son superiores en aquellos países más igualitarios. |
