hombres y mujeres del propio cuerpo y su ... El cuerpo lo percibimos y hacemos un uso diferente de él hombres y mujeres, generalmente respondiendo al mandato de género. El objetivo es evidenciar la diferente percepción de hombres y mujeres del propio cuerpo y su influencia en la igualdad y la salud. Metodología: Se ha utilizado una metodología cualitativa, realizando observación participante en un ejercicio vivencial (en el marco de la Terapia de Reencuentro, dentro de un proceso de Promoción de Salud más amplio y complejo) propuesto en talleres grupales de diferentes características. Resultados: En todos los grupos se obtienen los mismos: Describen su cuerpo de forma diferente los hombres que se autodescriben en términos de fortaleza, y las mujeres en términos estéticos; en las parejas de hombres aparece el fantasma de la homosexualidad; el cuerpo es social, y puede ser objeto de discriminación pero también lugar de empoderamiento. Conclusiones: La percepción del propio cuerpo está estrechamente relacionada con las expectativas sociales volcadas en hombres y mujeres, e influye en la salud. Utilizar una metodología vivencial hace reconocer con mayor eficacia los procesos interiorizados. El trabajo grupal con esta metodología es una buena herramienta para el trabajo de promoción de la salud. |
