A lo largo de este documento, se marcan las pautas del modelado térmico de un autobús
urbano, para conocer los valores de su carga térmica horaria; y así obtener un
dimensionado del sistema de climatización lo más eficiente posible. Para ello, se
establecen tres zonas climáticas tipo que representan la totalidad de las climatologías
europeas; estas zonas son definidas por la norma UNE-EN 14750, que aunque es
específica para aplicaciones ferroviarias puede ser estrapolada a autobuses con un
margen de error despreciable.
Los resultados de las simulaciones se obtienen mediante un modelo realizado con
TRNSYS, donde se simula el comportamiento térmico del autobús para cada una de las
localidades representativas a una zona climática de la norma (Madrid, París y Estocolmo),
y con un paso de tiempo horario. Con esto se consiguen obtener los valores extremos de
carga térmica, para cualquier zona de Europa, y así asegurar el confort térmico de los
viajeros en cualquier situación demográfica donde se encuentre funcionando el autobús.
Y aunque este software de simulación permite obtener información acerca de todas las
variables que influyen en el modelo térmico del sistema, en el análisis nos vamos a
centrar en los valores de carga térmica y consumo energético.
Los resultados de carga térmica, en un prinicipio fueron simulados para un caso
conservador de refrigeración, donde se eligió un valor nulo del “solar to air factor”; esto
implicaba que parte de la radiación no se quedaba en el volumen de aire interior,
reduciéndose la carga térmica global del sistema. Con esta hipótesis, los valores de carga
térmica obtenidos fueron bastante dispares según la zona climática simulada:
En Madrid (climatología con verano extremo), se obtiene una carga térmica punta de
refrigeración alta en verano: 18 kW, y una carga punta de calefacción baja en invierno:
7.5 kW.
En París (climatología con verano e invierno moderados), se obtienen 15 kW en
refrigeración, y 8.6 kW para calefacción.
En Estocolomo (climatología con invierno extremo), se obtiene que la carga punta
dominante es este caso es de calefacción con 17 kW, para refrigeración se obtiene un
valor de 13 kW.
Finalmente, se realiza una comparativa de los resultados obtenidos del modelo dinámico
con una metodología de cálculo estático mucho más sencilla, basada en la normativa
UNE-EN 14750. Los resultados obtenidos por el cálculo estático son muy próximo a los
obtenidos de las simulaciones, y por tato se puede concluir que la norma predice con
bastante precisión los valores de carga térmica punta. La complejidad de realizar un
modelo dinámico, donde la climatología introduce una incertidumbre mayor que el
potencial ahorro de la propia instalación, no sería necesario para el dimensionado de
este tipo de instalaciones. Si bien, con el modelo dinámico obtenido se dispone de una
herramienta muy potente a la hora de optimizar los parámetros de diseño de la
envolvente térmica (epidermis), y así reducir el consumo energético global del autobús.
