Abstract | Las Halobacterias son un grupo de Arqueobacterias que viven en ambientes extremos constituidos por medios acuáticos de elevada salinidad. Las Halobacterias son un grupo de Arqueobacterias que viven en ambientes extremos constituidos por medios acuáticos de elevada salinidad. Desde el punto de vista fenotípico constituyen un grupo muy heterogéneo salvo en el caso de H. salinarium H. cutirubrum y H. halobium.Por tanto estas tres capas pueden considerarse la misma especie. los porcentajes de Guarina más Atosina del ADN de las halobacterias estudiadas oscila entre el 52 8% y el 69 89%. Este rango tan amplio sugiere una gran heterogeneidad desde el punto de vista genotípico en este grupo de Halobacterias. El numero de plásmidos más frecuentemente encontrado en el total de las capas estudiadas es 3 o 4 y el peso molecular oscila de 100-300 MDL.Las Halobacterias son un grupo de arqueobacterias estudiadas en profundidad en su fisiología, ecología, bioquímica, etc. No obstante desde el punto de vista taxonómico, en la actualidad existen muchas divergencias. Por un lado, en la última edición de Manual de Bergey (Larsen, 1984), la descripción taxonómica de la familia Halobacteriaceae es bastante incompleta ya que se basa en un número muy reducido de pruebas y no incluye los nuevos grupos descritos recientemente, por lo que la sistemática de dicha familia está totalmente desfasada.Por otro lado, el aislamiento de nuevas especies de diferentes medios hipersalinos, utilizando distintos medios de enriquecimiento (Juez, 1982), los estudios taxonómicos, basados en la características genotípicas de la halobacterias, realizados por Ross y Grant (1985) y la propuesta de clasificación de las halobacterias en tres géneros: Halobacterium, Haloferax y Haloarcula, de Torrebalca y col.m (1986), sugieren la necesidad de realizar una nueva reestructuración de la familia Halobacteriaceae.Por todo ello, el objetivo de nuestro trabajo ha sido estudiar aspectos taxonómicos del grupo de las halobacterias no alcalófilas. | |
