Dual Active Bridge (DAB) DC-DC converters have diverse applications, including the integration of electrolysers, fuel cells, batteries and photovoltaic panels into DC microgrids. These applications enable efficient and flexible energy management in distributed generation and storage systems. The project deals with the design, simulation and control of a DC-DC DAB converter with resonant topology, aimed at parallel operation in a DC microgrid. The fundamental theoretical principles of DAB are studied, with the aim of improving the energy efficiency of the system. The hardware design process is detailed, including the selection and sizing of key components, as well as the interconnection of multiple converters in a DC microgrid. interconnection of multiple converters in parallel. To validate the converter performance, various control strategies are developed and simulated, ensuring an equal power sharing between the converters and an accurate control of the voltage and current in the system. The results of the simulations confirm the efficiency and stability of the system, demonstrating its feasibility for integration in DC microgrids. Practical tests were also carried out, which corroborate the theoretical results and provide a solid basis for future developments in the field of power conversion. |
