The present study offers an analysis limited to the echoes of Garcilaso de la Vega, Fernando de Herrera and fray Luis de León in the lyrical work of Pedro Laínez (1538-1584). Likewise, the influence of Gutierre de Cetina’s Madrigal “Ojos claros, serenos” on the imagination of the writer from Madrid is analyzed in a confluence and intersection of codes between verse and musical discourse. As a result, Laínez uses, in short, the hybridization of outstanding models from an exercise in composite imitation in order to transit different paths of literary expression until obtaining his own poetic voice. |
