Risk management has surged in importance across companies of all sizes due to escalating cyberthreats and as sociated costs. This impact disproportionately affects smaller enterprises due to resource constraints and limited technological expertise. This study explores diverse risk management frame works applicable to various business domains and proposes an open-source, resource-efficient solution leveraging containeriza tion for virtualization. Our solution identifies both wired and wireless network devices, offering qualitative and quantitative risk assessment reports over time, along with mitigation options. A proof of concept conducted on a simulated medium-sized enterprise (SME) showcased the detection and assessment of network devices over 20 business days, illustrating risk evolution and escalation in the absence of proactive management. |
