In this project, a family of discontinuous planar systems in canonical form is considered. The objective is to determine the parameters that give rise to the bifurcation called Pseudo-hopf, and thus separate the different regions with or without limit cycles. In this project, the case of discontinuous planar relay-type systems will be studied and how the system behaves for certain values of its parameters will be analyzed, commenting on the different solutions obtained. Mathematical Software will be used to solve the system and graphical Software to simulate it, thus drawing the limit cycle. To develop the project, we have started from previous research based on discontinuous planar and piecewise linear systems. Firstly and with special mention we must refer to the final degree project carried out in this same School by Inmaculada del Valle [1], in which a similar study is carried out, but for the focus-chair case. Secondly, mention the article “The pseudo-Hopf bifurcation for planar discontinuous piecewise linear differential systems” [2], in which systems that include the one specified in this project are worked on, but with different parameters. Thirdly, mention the article “A general mechanism to generate three limit cycles in planar Filippov systems with two zones” [3], which shows the possibility of obtaining limit cycles is related to the existence of foci. These works are the starting point of this project, focusing on the Pseudo-Hopf case on symmetrical relay-type systems. In the first chapter, as an introduction, a presentation of the basic concepts of discontinuous systems is made, the basis of study of our project and of the numerical methods for their subsequent use in bifurcation curves. Chapter 2 focuses on planar relay-type systems and the study of the Psuedo-Hopf bifurcation. In chapter 3, a MATHEMATICA language code is included that has allowed the necessary calculations to be developed. Finally, in chapter 4, a graphic simulation of the Pseudo-Hopf case is carried out, with which the theoretical results are verified and that the calculations carried out are correct. |
