Abstract | El 23 de octubre de 1971 se crea la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales de la Universidad de Sevilla, cuyas primeras clases comenzaron a impartirse el 15 de noviembre de ese mismo año. El 23 de octubre de 1971 se crea la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales de la Universidad de Sevilla, cuyas primeras clases comenzaron a impartirse el 15 de noviembre de ese mismo año. Desde entonces la evolución del centro ha sido más que notoria: de los 616 estudiantes matriculados en sus orígenes se ha pasado a más de 4.500, cerca de 400 profesores y en torno a 70 miembros de personal de administración y servicios; cuenta con una amplia oferta académica compuesta por tres grados, tres dobles grados, uno de ellos de carácter internacional, seis programas de másteres universitarios y dos programas de doctorado.
