de Japón desde el siglo XVI hasta el siglo XIX. Para ello analizaremos unas piezas de
producción artística concretas como son aquellas ... El presente TFG tiene como propósito analizar los intercambios culturales y globales de Japón desde el siglo XVI hasta el siglo XIX. Para ello analizaremos unas piezas de producción artística concretas como son aquellas elaboradas con laca urushi. En este marco, las piezas lacadas con urushi pueden considerarse como las primeras obras de arte japonesas que fascinaron a los europeos. Desde entonces, esta técnica artística adquirió mucha importancia, no solo para el comercio sino también formó parte importante de las relaciones internacionales, integrando los intentos diplomáticos de Japón con el exterior. Esto dió lugar a un sincretismo cultural influido por las corrientes artísticas afines a Asia Oriental, primero de las chinerías y luego del japonismo. Coetáneo a esta primera corriente, destacaron los lacados namban (siglos XVI y XVII), que consisten en la utilización de la técnica japonesa con un decorado de la pieza adaptado al gusto europeo de la época, ajustándose incluso a las creencias religiosas cristianas en la elaboración de algunas de ellas. Si bien el establecimiento de la política sakoku en Japón hacia 1639 determinó la reducción de los contactos con el exterior, el comercio de piezas lacadas continuó hasta el siglo XIX, funcionando como nexo e influencia para Europa, especialmente para los imperios ibéricos, holandeses e ingleses; al igual que para Latinoamérica. Es por ello que en este TFG se expondrá que los resultados alcanzados por los productos de laca urushi fueron de tanta calidad, que impulsó la imitación de su técnica (o gran parte de ella) en otras zonas del mundo, y por ello en el siglo XVII surgió la técnica japanning en Europa. Al mismo tiempo que se desarrolló una técnica de lacado en Nueva España (actual México) conocida como maque, demostrando que la influencia de esta laca japonesa también alcanzó los territorios latinoamericanos durante aquella época. |
