Esta investigación evalúa la incidencia de conductas no éticas en el contexto empresarial, es decir, se analizan las técnicas de selección implantadas por los diferentes departamentos de RRHH y se obtiene información acerca de las consecuencias de contratar a personas que no se ajusten al código ético empresarial, las denominadas “manzanas podridas”. Se trata de una investigación cualitativa, ya que se recopilan datos no numéricos a través de la observación, en este caso a través de entrevistas; se ejecuta la denominada entrevista en profundidad, ya que se basa en el seguimiento de un guion de entrevista, en el que se plasman todos los objetivos que se desean abordar. Seguidamente, se procede al análisis teniendo en cuenta diferentes factores individuales, organizacionales y contextuales. La muestra estuvo formada por un total de 4 empresas, una empresa multinacional, dos empresas nacionales y una empresa local, las cuales fueron entrevistadas a través de entrevista en profundidad. Con los resultados obtenidos, se observa, en primer lugar, como las empresas conocían la ECE, pero no la utilizaban como su primera estrategia de selección, la tenían como segunda opción. En segundo lugar, en el estudio, se examina como cada vez son más elevadas las contrataciones inadecuadas, es decir, cada vez es más común toparse con una “manzana podrida”; bajo las experiencias de los Técnicos de RRHH entrevistados expresaban como influían diferentes factores y como se veían influenciados por consecuencias económicas y por efectos negativos. En tercer lugar, en el estudio se aprecia, como las diferentes empresas hacen hincapié en como fomentar y hacer ver a los nuevos miembros de las empresas su cultura y sus valores éticos, además de enseñarle su propio código ético e implantar programas de formación sobre ética empresarial. With the results obtained, it is observed, in the first place, how the companies were aware of the ECE, but they did not use it as their first selection strategy, they had it as a second option. Secondly, in the study, it is examined how inadequate hiring is increasing, that is, it is becoming more and more common to run into a "rotten apple"; under the experiences of the HR Technicians interviewed, they expressed how different factors influenced and how they were influenced by economic consequences and by negative effects.
