La Pizzica y La Notte Della Taranta: entre tradición e innovación

Abstract

En el Trabajo Fin de Máster aquí presentado se propone analizar desde una perspectiva antropológica la expresión popular de la pizzica a partir de su origen, o sea el fenómeno antiguo del tarantismo, hasta su conversión en tradición y patrimonio. La atención del trabajo se dirige hacia el análisis de esta expresión popular en relación con dos conceptos: por un lado, está la tradición y, por otro, la innovación. Se analizará la percepción que los detentadores del patrimonio tienen de estos dos conceptos situados aparentemente en las antípodas. El festival conocido como La Notte della Taranta parece representar un emblema en este sentido y su análisis es imprescindible para la compresión del objeto de estudio. Serán tomados en consideración elementos tales como el turismo, junto a los demás fenómenos desencadenados por la globalización, que inevitablemente intervienen en la percepción y desarrollo de la tradición de la tarantella, analizando también como se interrelacionan entre ellos.

In this Master’s Thesis we propose to analyze the popular expression of pizzica from an anthropological perspective starting from its origin, the ancient phenomenon of tarantismo to its conversion to tradition and heritage. The attention of the trade is directed towards the analysis of this popular expression in relation with two concepts: on the one hand, it is the tradition and on the other hand the innovation. It will analyze the perception that the holders of the heritage hold these two concepts apparently in the antipodes. La Notte della Taranta seems to represent an emblem and its analysis is essential for understanding the object of study. Elements such as tourism will be taken into consideration, together with these phenomena unleashed by globalization, which inevitably intervene in the perception and development of the tradition of the tarantella, also analyzing how they interrelate.
