Eficacia del recurso táctico ‘empty goal’ en situaciones de inferioridad y superioridad numérica ofensiva en balonmano. Análisis del campeonato del mundo femenino de balonmano de 2021

Abstract

El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado tiene como objetivo identificar y analizar la utilización del recurso táctico empty goal (portería vacía), y determinar la influencia que éste tuvo en el desarrollo del juego, tanto en situaciones de inferioridad, como de superioridad numérica ofensiva 7x6, durante el XXV Campeonato del Mundo femenino de balonmano de 2021, celebrado en España. Para ello, se tomó como muestra los 105 partidos disputados en dicho campeonato. Se utilizaron las actas oficiales y los documentos Play By Play de todos los partidos como fuente de datos, y se realizó un análisis de contenido centrado en las situaciones de empty goal, registrándose las mismas en una herramienta diseñada ad hoc para su posterior análisis. Tras recolectar y analizar 1201 situaciones totales de empty goal, los datos de este estudio descriptivo arrojaron que el uso de este recurso táctico tuvo un balance positivo para la mayoría de los equipos, y que éstos optaron por sustituir a la portera por una jugadora de campo en situaciones de inferioridad numérica ofensiva tras la exclusión de 2 minutos de una de ellas para mantener la igualdad numérica ofensiva en las jugadoras de campo, más que para atacar 7x6

The aim of this Final Degree Project is to identify and analyze the use of empty goal tactical resource and determine the influence it had on the development of the game, both in situations of offensive numerical inferiority and numerical superiority, 7vs6, during the 25th Women's Handball World Championship, held in Spain in 2021. For this, the 105 matches played in that championship have been taken as the sample. The official match reports and Play By Play documents of all the matches were used as the data source, and a content analysis focused on empty goal situations was carried out, registering them in a tool designed ad hoc for their subsequent analysis. After collecting and analyzing 1201 total empty goal situations, the data from this descriptive study showed that the use of this tactical resource had a positive balance for most of the teams, and they mostly chose to replace the goalkeeper with a female field player in offensive numerical inferiority situations after 2-minute suspension of one of their players, in order to maintain the offensive numerical equality in the field players, rather than to attack 7vs6
