Inventos ingenieriles de la época romana que perduran hasta nuestros días

Abstract

Este trabajo de fin de carrera trata sobre los inventos ingenieriles que en la época romana se desarrollaron e inventaron y, que a pesar de todos los avances ingenieriles que han ido transcurriendo hasta nuestros días, no ha modificado la esencia del invento. La manera de comunicarnos ha cambiado, ahora existen teléfonos, redes sociales. El transporte ha evolucionado, coches, aviones, cohetes… Y muchos más desarrollos, pero el modo de transportar agua sigue siendo una tubería. Para levantar pesos se sigue usando una grúa. Ya los romanos usaban suelo radiante para calentar una habitación. El modo de unir bloques en edificaciones sigue siendo el hormigón. Aquí se verá su funcionamiento y su origen y como ha llegado a evolucionar sin llegar a cambiar la esencia misma por el cual fueron ideados estos inventos.

This Final Degree Project is about the engineering inventions that were developed and invented in Roman times and, despite all the engineering advances that have been taking place until today, the essence of the inventions has not changed. The way we communicate has changed, now there are telephones, social networks. Transportation has evolved, cars, airplanes, rockets... And much more developments, but the way to transport water is still a pipe. A crane is still used to lift weights. The Romans already used underfloor heating to heat a room. The way to join blocks in buildings is still concrete. In the paper it will be shown the way it works, its origin and how it has evolved without changing the very essence for which these inventions were devised.
