En esta investigación se implementaron grupos interactivos en aula y se
desarrollaron reuniones pedagógicas de planificación y evaluación asociadas a estos
grupos en la asignatura de lenguaje en un primer año básico durante un año escolar en un
colegio de Los Ángeles, Chile. El contexto escolar se caracterizó por la alta presencia de
niños/as con necesidades educativas especiales, bajos resultados en lenguaje y alto índice
de vulnerabilidad social. Esta innovación educativa comprometió la participación
voluntaria de colaboradores de aprendizaje, dentro de los cuales se encontraba un profesor
y un estudiante en práctica de la universidad, una madre de una alumna del nivel y
estudiantes de cursos superiores del mismo colegio.
El objetivo general de este estudio fue determinar las aportaciones de los grupos
interactivos al desarrollo del aprendizaje del lenguaje en los niños/as. Para lograr este
objetivo, se analizaron las acciones educativas desarrolladas por la profesora del nivel y
colaboradores de aprendizaje en clases con grupos interactivos y en reuniones
pedagógicas; acciones que facilitaron el aprendizaje del lenguaje en los niños/as, y que,
en nuestro estudio, fueron denominadas “acciones educativas facilitadoras”. También, se
evaluó antes y después de la implementación de grupos interactivos, el desarrollo del
lenguaje de los niños/as y además se determinó la valoración de este desarrollo.
Esta investigación estuvo sustentada en una metodología comunicativa con un
enfoque mixto y con predominancia cualitativa. Este tipo de metodología ofrece “un
marco metodológico que rompe con la jerarquía epistémica entre quien investiga y quien
es investigado” (Ferrada et al., 2013, p. 648). Así, la preparación, puesta en marcha del
proyecto, determinación de categorías deductivas, elaboración de instrumentos y parte
del análisis de datos de esta investigación tuvieron una orientación comunicativa, en la
que se involucró, además de la investigadora responsable de este estudio, a los
colaboradores de aprendizaje y a la profesora de primero básico.
Los grupos interactivos, en oposición a la organización mixta y homogénea de
estudiantes, que se utilizan en las clases con organización tradicional, corresponden a una
agrupación inclusiva y heterogénea de los niño/as. Implican la conformación de 4 a 5
grupos de trabajo, cada uno de los cuales queda a cargo de un colaborador de aprendizaje
o profesor/a del nivel. De esta manera, cada grupo desarrolla una tarea diferente con un
objetivo común en un tiempo acotado. Así, al finalizar la clase, todos los niños/as habrán
transitado por cada uno de los grupos y, por lo tanto, habrán realizado las 4 o 5 actividades
programadas.
Para dar respuesta al enfoque cualitativo, se aplicaron entrevistas semi
estructuradas a los agentes educativos (profesora y colaboradores), se realizaron grupos
de discusión con madres y niños/as del nivel, y se registraron observaciones en clases con
grupos interactivos y en reuniones pedagógicas, todas estas técnicas con una orientación
comunicativa. Para dar respuesta al enfoque cuantitativo, se aplicó una prueba
estandarizada que mide el aprendizaje del lenguaje de los niños/as en modalidad de
pretest, implementación con grupos interactivos y postest.
La técnica de análisis cualitativa de datos seleccionada fue análisis de contenido,
la que se desarrolló en torno a las categorías deductivas determinadas en este estudio.
Para las reuniones pedagógicas, la categoría deductiva definitiva fue diálogo. Para las
clases con grupos interactivos, las categorías deductivas fueron diálogo, inclusión y
afectividad. El análisis de los datos cuantitativos se realizó aplicando “t” de student y la
prueba de Wilcoxon.
Los resultados de nuestra investigación muestran que todos los niños y niñas
incrementaron su aprendizaje de lenguaje y, además, la valoración por parte de los
diversos agentes educativos fue altamente positiva sobre esta área.
Otro resultado relevante de este estudio fue haber podido identificar y analizar
cuarenta y cinco acciones educativas facilitadoras de aprendizaje, realizadas por la
profesora y los colaboradores en reuniones pedagógicas y clases con grupos interactivos.
Si bien, algunas de estas acciones son coincidentes con la caracterización de estos grupos
y otras son la base del diálogo igualitario, un hallazgo de este estudio es haber analizado,
además, la contribución de otras acciones educativas facilitadoras, en las que no se ha
puesto énfasis en estudios con grupos interactivos.
Dichas acciones aproximaron a los niños/as a la constitución de un diálogo con
sentido e igualitario, al desarrollo del pensamiento crítico, a la interacción, a la generación
de altas expectativas sobre sus propias capacidades de aprendizaje y a la conformación
de un clima afectivo, logrando aprender gracias al apoyo de colaboradores y de sus pares.
Asimismo, se observa que muchas de las acciones educativas facilitadoras que hemos
analizado surgen desde las experiencias de vida de los integrantes o desde el conocimiento
académico de los agentes que apoyan a los niños/as en el aula. Desde esta perspectiva,
nuestro estudio confirma que el diálogo debe regularse por relaciones igualitarias,
valorando así la inteligencia cultural (Serrano-Alfonso et al., 2018).
Por otra parte, otro hallazgo de esta investigación fue evidenciar que el diálogo
igualitario que se constituyó de manera progresiva en el aula, permitió visibilizar a todos
los niños/as, situación que transformó radicalmente el contexto escolar en la sala de
clases. También, un elemento a destacar fue el logro del diálogo igualitario establecido
durante el desarrollo de reuniones pedagógicas sistemáticas, donde se tomaban las
decisiones relacionadas con la planificación y evaluación de las experiencias educativas.
Además, el impacto alcanzado producto de la integración de la metodología
comunicativa al proceso investigativo fue otro hallazgo de esta investigación, ya que se
generó un gran compromiso por parte de todos (profesora y colaboradores) ante el desafío
que se emprendía. Desde este enfoque comunicativo, los resultados de nuestra
investigación tuvieron mayor representatividad en la realidad estudiada, pues la
metodología comunicativa se basa en el supuesto ontológico que la realidad es una
construcción que se consigue a través de las interacciones entre los seres humanos
(Redondo-Sama et al., 2020).
Un último hallazgo a destacar fue que se produjo, de manera inesperada, una
transformación que impactó no solo en niños/as, profesora y colaboradores de primer año
básico, sino también, en los estudiantes y profesores de otros niveles del colegio. Esto se
reflejó en la colaboración espontánea y en la disposición a participar por parte de otros
agentes educativos en diversas actividades complementarias a los grupos interactivos. Por
lo tanto, podemos concluir que se confirma el principio de transformación del aprendizaje
dialógico (Elboj et al., 2009), lo que se pudo lograr gracias a que los agentes educativos,
que tenían mayor conocimiento académico, evidenciaban que todos eran significativos en
este desafío, afrontando sus relaciones desde un plano de humildad epistémica y
horizontalidad.
