Abstract | En el siglo XVIII, el gusto francés se impone decididamente en las cortes
europeas. El cambio de gusto en lo referente a la moda, producido por el ambiente
revolucionario francés y la implantación de una nueva silueta ... En el siglo XVIII, el gusto francés se impone decididamente en las cortes europeas. El cambio de gusto en lo referente a la moda, producido por el ambiente revolucionario francés y la implantación de una nueva silueta femenina, fue adoptada por María Luisa. Un ejemplo de esta nueva situación fue el retrato de 1799, en el cual Francisco de Goya representó a la soberana con un vestido camisa, personificando los ideales del neoclasicismo. La documentación del Archivo General de Palacio (Madrid) nos ofrece una información detallada de los encargos de la esposa de Carlos IV. Además, hemos podido conocer el trabajo de los principales sastres y bordadores: Pedro de Alcantara, Ceferino Alguacil, Juan López de Robredo, entre los más destacados. The change of taste in relation to fashion, produced by the French revolutionary atmosphere and the implantation of a new female silhouette, was adopted by María Luisa. An example of this new situation was the portrait of 1799, in which Francisco de Goya represented the sovereign with a shirt dress, personifying the ideals of neoclassicism. The documentation of the General Archive of the Palace (Madrid) offers us detailed information about the orders of Charles IV's wife. In addition, we have been able to know the work of the main tailors and embroiderers: Pedro de Alcantara, Ceferino Alguacil, Juan Lopez de Robredo, among the most outstanding. |
