La Torre Blanca, una oportunidad de intervención patrimonial en el Polígono Sur

Abstract

El estudio y conocimiento del contexto espacial de un bien patrimonial, así como de los cambios que en éste acontecen, son fundamentales para su tutela y puesta en valor. El paisaje, considerado como un ente en continuo cambio y movimiento, va de la mano de la sociedad y por tanto, no se entienden el uno sin el otro. A través del paisaje detectamos las relaciones entre el medio natural y las personas que lo habitaron a lo largo del tiempo. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo poner en valor el espacio del molino dela Torre Blanca, a través del estudio de la documentación histórica, aplicando la Arqueología del Paisaje mediante un método regresivo en el tiempo. Desde la narración del tiempo presente hasta remontarnos a los orígenes del bien. Y como el contexto espacial no se entiende sin las personas, uno de los pilares base de este documento, es la actual relación que mantiene este bien arqueológico con Polígono Sur. Para ello hemos ido recopilando diferentes testimonios de vecinos y personas cercanas al mismo para comprender cómo interactúan con nuestro objeto de estudio. Estos testimonios nos permiten entender y conocer cuáles son las necesidades que demanda el barrio, las cuales permitirán desarrollar estrategias patrimoniales de futuro. A partir de la detección de esas necesidades se dotará al barrio, desde su propia historia, de unos escenarios concretos que permitirán a la postre una futura patrimonialización de la zona.

The study and knowledge of the spatial context of an heritage asset, as well as the changes that take place in it, are essential for its protection and enhancement. The landscape, considered as an entity in continuous change and movement, has relation with society and therefore, one cannot be understood without the other. Through the landscape we are aware of the relationships between the natural environment and the people who inhabited it overtime. The present paper aims to highlight the space of the Torre Blanca mill through the study of historical documentation, applying the Archaeology of the Landscape by means of a regressive method. From the narration of the present time to the origins of the property. Since the spatial context cannot be understood without people, one of the pillars of this document is the current relationship which this archaeological property has with Polígono Sur. To this end, we have been collecting different testimonies from neighbours and people close to it to understand how they interact with our object of study. These testimonies allow us to understand and know what the needs of the neighbourhood are, which will allow us to develop heritage strategies for the future. Based on the detection of these needs, the neighbourhood will be provided, from its own history, with some specific scenarios which will allow a future patrimonialization of the area.
