El convenio bilateral de Seguridad Social suscrito entre España y Paraguay

Abstract

El proceso de internalización de la Seguridad Social crece año tras año, y un ejemplo de ello es la firma del Convenio bilateral de Seguridad Social suscrito entre España y Paraguay en 1998. Su validez se extiende a ambos países signatarios, y una vez ratificado en 2006, entra en vigor el 1 de marzo del citado año. Con el mismo, se pretende aprovechar las carreras de seguro o los tiempos de servicio prestados en ambos países con el propósito de poder totalizar periodos, exportar prestaciones, establecer la unicidad de la ley y desarrollar el principio de igualdad de trato. Junto al Acuerdo Administrativo de 2016, conforman el articulado que establece el área de protección de los beneficiarios de los sistemas de Seguridad Social español y paraguayo.

The process of internalization of Social Security is growing year after year, and an example of this is the signing of the bilateral Social Security Agreement signed between Spain and Paraguay in 1998. Its validity extends to both signatory countries, and once ratified in 2006, enters into force on March 1 of that year. With the same, it is intended to take advantage of insurance careers or service times provided in both countries with the purpose of being able to totalize periods, export benefits, establish the uniqueness of the law and develop the principle of equal treatment. Together with the Administrative Agreement of 2016, they make up the articles that establish the area of protection of the beneficiaries of the Spanish and Paraguayan Social Security systems.
