Abstract: This article presents the development of a Product Platform for the design of a Product Family using Modularization techniques. In this way it is possible to obtain derived and differentiated products efficiently and quickly with little effort. The current work presents the essentials of product platform design and its application to the design of a product family by means of modularization techniques. The platform approach allows derived and differentiated products to be obtained quickly and efficiently with small design efforts, offering a varied supply to the market and facilitating the management of different product generations.
