Introducción a la inteligencia de negocios con ayuda de R

Abstract

In this work we will obtein a first completed vision of bussines intelligence. To achieve this aim, we are going to present the main aspects of bussines intelligence acrros four chapters of this book. First of all, we have to understand what the concept of “bussiness intelligence” means and know the main elements that make this complex concept. We will try to answer the most important questions: “What it is?”, “When and how shoul we use it?”, “how does it work?” “and why it is so importan and essential to the good development of a company”. On the Second chapter, we are going to introduce the main commercials software that exist around bussiness intelligence. Specially, we will talk about Qlik, Tableau, Pentahoo and BI Microsoft. We will know their principal characteristics to can comparate each one through their pros and cons. On the next Chapter we are going to present R as a valid option to be a software for bussiness intelligence. We will go across the main librarys that will allow us to realize the steps bussiness intelligence needs. Finally, we use the knowledge of previous chapters to create an example dashboard with the technology proportionated by R.
