In this work we can clearly distinguish two parts. Firstly, we study and prove some classical theorems about the Global Theory of plane curves, namely the Isoperimetric Inequality, the Four-Vertex Theorem and the CauchyCrofton Formula. Secondly, we focus on Bézier plane curves. We establish some global properties for them and we introduce a new method, inspired by the Isoperimetric Inequality, to produce the approximation of a circular arc by a Bézier curve. We include several interesting examples.es
