In the following text, the objective is to briefly explain the image of human being`s which comes from the reading of Joseph Conrad`s The heart of darkness. Therefore, and following the saidian rules for a counterpoint lecture, our antropological study points two ways: on the one hand, the damaged image of a human being affected by brutality and lie which come from european colonial occupation of belgian Congo; on the other hand, the everlasting chance of passing through this negative situation by a huge comprehension effort. In the end, an omnipresent light-andshadow fight. |
