El otoño del Patriarca. Germen de una novela

Abstract

El autor analiza desde la perspectiva del «lector interesado» -no crítico-, el núcleo central de la novela El otoño del patriarca de Gabriel García Márquez. En las trece primeras páginas se encuentra ya el germen temático de todo el desarrollo posterior, así como los artificios fabuladores del mundo creativo del autor colombiano. Algunos ya habían aparecido en Cien años de soledad: el tiempo dislocado, la transmutación mágica; hay otro nuevo que engarza con la tradición de la «novela del tirano»: el dictador omnipresente pero inasequible y quizá hasta inexistente.

The author analyzes from the perspective of the «interested reader* - not critic- the central nucleus of the novel The autumn of the patriarch by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. In the first thirteen pages the thematic germen of the whole later development can already be found, as well as the tabulating devices that belong to the creative world of the Colombian novelist. Some of them had already appeared in A hundred years of solitude: the distangled time, th e magic transmutation; another is new and it's related to the tiran's novel's tradition: the omnipresent but inaccesible and perhaps even inexistent dictator.

L'auteur analyse du point de vue du «lecteur intéressé» -pas critique-, le noyau central du roman L'automne du patriarche de Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Dans les treize premières pages on peut trouver a l'avance le germe thématique de tout le développement postérieur, ainsi que les artifices narratifs qui apartiennent au monde créatif de l'auteur colombien et qui étaient apparus d'abort en Cent ans de solitude: le temps altéré, la tranformation magique; et un aspect nouveau qui s'enchaine avec la tradition du «roman du titan»: le dictateur omniprésent mais inaccesible et, peut être, même inexistant.
