Palabras homofonas y homografas en Español como consecuencia del yeismo

Abstract

El artículo comienza con una breve introducción que define el yeísmo, enumera sus consecuencias, establece su origen histórico y extensión actual y valora su consideración social moderna. Pero nuestro objetivo consiste en realizar el inventario de las palabras homófonas que se crean en el español estándar por efecto de la identificación d e elle con ye . Así, las 4.150 palabras con elle y las 1.024 palabras con ye (20 a edición del diccionario académico, 1984) originan 134 pares mínimos (ciento treinta y cuatro) que no se distinguen entre sí cuando se articula el fonema \K\ com o fonem a |j | en cualquier a d e sus variantes fonéticas. De estos pares, 61 (sesenta y uno ) surgen sin atender a las variaciones morfológicas y 73 pares (setenta y tres) atendiendo a ellas. Se completa el trabajo con otras dos listas: nueve pares con doble grafía ll/ y aceptable; y siete pares de palabras homófonas, pero no homógrafas.

The article begins with a short introduction that defines what yeism o is, enumerates its consequences, tells abou t its historical origin, how spread is nowadays and how it is considered, socially speaking . But our aim is to do an inventor y of the homophone words that are the result of t he identification of the sound elle with the sound ye in standard Spanish. A total of 4.15 words with elle and 1.024 with ye (20 th edition Dictionar y of the Royal Spanish Language Academy, 1984 ) form 134 (one hundred and thirty-four) minimal pairs whic h can't b e distinguished among them when we articulate the phoneme \X\ like the phoneme |j | in any of its phonetic varieties. From these pairs, 61 (sixty-one) appear to have no connection to the morphological variations but 73 (seventy-three) do. Two other lists are included in this study. The first one, comprises nine pair s with double acceptable writing ll/ y and the second one, seven pairs of homophone but not homograph words.

L'article commence par une brève introduction où l'on définit le yeisme, on énumère les conséquences, on établit son origine historique et sa portée actuelle. Son but principale, cependant, consiste à dresser l'inventaire des mots homophones que l'on crée en espagnol courant à la suite de l'identification de II avec y. C'est ainsi que les 4.15 0 mots vec II et les 1.024 mots avec y (2oème édition du dictionnaire d e l'Académie, 1984 ) produisent 134 paires minimales qui ne se différencient pas quand on articule le phonème \X\ comm e phonème |j | dans n'importe laquelle de ses variantes phonétiques. Parmi ces paires , 61 apparaissent sans considerations des variations morphologiques tandis que 73 paires y tiennent compte. Le travail présente encore deux autres listes: 9 paires avec double graphie ll/ y acceptable; et 7 paires de mots homophones, mais non homographes.
