La naturaleza “universal” con la que el cine se extiende lo hace especialmente idóneo para atravesar fronteras y poner en contacto culturas diversas; no obstante, este debe ser únicamente un primer paso en el acercamiento mutuo, no podemos darnos por satisfechos en el conocimiento de una cultura ajena a la propia que se presenta envuelta en unas vestiduras verosímiles pero no siempre ciertas y prácticamente nunca reflejo completo de una realidad mucho más compleja en todos los sentidos.Apart from the problems of the cinema during its very beginning, there was a general agreement to its social dimension, because it displays its activity in a cultural environment where the cinema gets very important influences and to which it gives a special offer too. As the cinema is “universal”, it is considered a good way of going through borders and getting in touch with different cultures; nevertheless, this should be just the beginning of an approach to each other.
