Este nuevo nudo de la relación entre ambos autores permite desarrollar determinadas intuiciones que conforman sus análisis genealógicos de nuestra cultura, pero no habían ocupado la atención de los especialistas. En el presente trabajo no pretendemos dar cuenta en profundidad de todos estos controvertidos asuntos, pero sí arrojar algo de luz sobre ellos a partir del examen de un aspecto específico relacionado con este tipo de aproximaciones a la obra de Nietzsche y Foucault: el tratamiento que ambos dan a la figura de Platón a propósito de cuestiones tales como las de la vida filosófica, la voluntad de verdad o la ética del cuidado de sí. Así, volver a las lecciones que el joven Nietzsche imparte en Basilea y a los cursos y escritos del último Foucault nos permite reconocer la complejizar su reconstrucción del platonismo más allá del tópico que identifica a Platón como el fundador de la metafísica.In recent years, we have witnessed a growing interest in the cross-reading of the work of Nietzsche and Foucault around the common topics of the aesthetics of existence, parrhesia and self-care, which are structured through their respective approaches to the Greco-Roman world. This new connection between the two authors allows the development of certain intuitions that define their genealogical analyses of our culture, but which had not captured the attention of specialists. In this paper, we do not try to provide an exhaustive description of all these controversial issues, but to clarify them by examining a specific aspect related to this type of approach to the work of Nietzsche and Foucault: the treatment that both authors offer of the figure of Plato in relation to questions such as the philosophical life, the will to truth, or the ethics of self-care.
