Physical Review B-Condensed Matter, 33 (8), 5836-5838.0163-1829http://hdl.handle.net/11441/58273The occurrence of multiple steady states in a system formed by monomers adsorbed on a lattice, with attractive interaction between nearest adatoms, is demonstrated. This fact causes hysteresis in the adsorption-desorption or desorption-readsorption processes. On the other hand, the coordination number of the adsorbent lattice and the corresponding degree of nonlinearity of the rate equation do not essentially influence the results obtained.application/pdfengAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internacionalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Multiple steady states on an adsorbent surfaceinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttps://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevB.33.5836
