The main objective is to design and evaluate the content validity and reliability of a category system to analyze the methodological approach, homework assignment and the use of technologies in the classroom by teachers in 50 high and low efficacy primary schools. A deductive and inductive qualitative approach was used, using the technique of content analysis to develop, define and describe the categories and subcategories based on an existing system in the literature, modified after interviews with management teams. For the design and validation of the categorical system, 6 education experts were involved, who met the criteria of training, experience, and recognition. Fleiss' kappa coefficient and Krippendorff's alpha were used to examine inter-coder agreement, reaching values above 0.8, demonstrating good internal consistency. The results show robust content validity, aligning with fundamental qualitative criteria such as reliability, transferability, dependence, and confirmability. This category system is validated as a reliable model for analyzing teaching practices, facilitating the evaluation of methodologies, task planning and the use of technologies in the classroom.
