(Tesis Doctoral Inédita). Universidad de Sevilla, Sevilla.https://hdl.handle.net/11441/169487This Thesis aims at analyzing potential supply chain archetypes that can be developed to achieve the objectives proposed by the Circular Economy paradigm, specifically focusing on their dynamic performance. In a Circular Economy, waste is minimized while resource use is maximixed by implementing circular flows of materials, products, and information. This concept is restorative and regenerative, meaning that products and materials at the end of their life cycle are recovered and reintegrated into the supply chain rather than being disposed of. It follows that supply chains, that are networks of companies, resources, and activities that work together to create and distribute goods or services, need to chenge their operations to go towards a Circular Economy. In this Thesis the following supply chain archetypes are studied: Closed-loos Supply Chains, Symbiotic Supply Chains and Circular Supply Chains. Here, different material and waste flows are added in the supply chain to reduce raw material extractions, and the dynamic performance in terms of order and inventory amplification is measured to provide theoretical and managerial insights.application/pdf168 p.engAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/On the dynamics of Supply Chains within the Circular Economy paradigminfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
