En este trabajo se describe un modelo que genera Objetos de Aprendizaje a partir de recursos digitales existentes. El modelo emplea la similitud entre objetos, así como reglas inferidas del conocimiento existente, para proponer metadatos y de esta manera facilitar la descripción del recurso. El modelo ha sido implementado mediante un asistente dentro de un sistema de gestión de Objetos de Aprendizaje. Los resultados de un estudio confirman la facilidad y usabilidad del modelo.
