Ostentó el cargo de Director de las Reales Provisiones de Víveres de la ciudad de Cádiz, lo que le animó a construir un molino harinero en el caño de la Marina, bañado por el río San Pedro de Puerto Real. No en vano, se reveló como un personaje destacado en la jerarquía local.
