Siguiendo los índices propuestos por Hunt (1965), este trabajo se centra en el uso de cláusulas sustantivas y sus posibles relaciones con las variables edad y sexo. Se establece, a partir de un análisis cualitativo, un enfoque cuantitativo de estadística descriptiva. Los resultados nos permiten corroborar la existencia de una relación asociativa solo entre la edad de los encuestados, ya que la variable sexo no resulta significativa en dicha utilización.This paper presents the results of an investigation carried out in Gran Canaria (Spain), which aims to study syntactic maturity in pre-university students. Following the indexes proposed by Hunt (1965), this work focuses on the use of noun clauses and their possible relationships with the variables age and gender. In addition to a qualitative analysis, a quantitative approach of descriptive statistics is used.
